Eugene Black (Texas politician)

Eugene Black (July 2, 1879, Blossom, Texas–May 22, 1975, Washington, D.C.) was an American lawyer, teacher, and grocer who was the Democratic United States Representative from the First District of Texas from 1915 to 1929. In 1929 he was appointed by President Hoover to serve on the United States Board of Tax Appeals, on which he served until 1966.
